I feel like Gi hun is able to solo every character in the series. He just didn't had opportunity to show his skills much

Every clip of Deok Su is having him laughing, he looks like a happy and kind man, I have no doubt that he is a good guy and isn't sadistic gangsta who would sacrifices his team members just so he can win the prize money, right?

S1 Gi Hun Vs Salesman prime

1. Lifting Strength (How much weight they can physically lift or carry)
Salesman: No known lifting feats. Appears physically fit but has never shown strength in a real test.
Gi-hun: Lifted and tackled Sang-woo, dragging and pinning him to the ground. Also physically supported his mother in the past.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has shown real feats of lifting and grappling strength.

2. Striking Strength (Punching, Slapping, Overall Hitting Power)
Salesman: Strong and precise slaps that consistently knocked Gi-hun’s head back. However, we haven’t seen him throw a real punch.
Gi-hun: Knocked a knife out of Sang-woo’s hand with a single punch and overpowered him in close combat.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – The Salesman’s slaps are precise, but Gi-hun has actual punching power.

3. Travel Speed (Running, Sprinting, Overall Mobility)
Salesman: No running feats shown. He seems quick but hasn’t been in a chase.
Gi-hun: Ran at full speed in Red Light, Green Light and sprinted multiple times throughout the games.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has proven he can run fast under pressure.

4. Durability (How much damage they can take and keep going)
Salesman: Unknown. We’ve never seen him take a hit.
Gi-hun: Took multiple stab wounds and kept fighting. Survived all the deadly Squid Game challenges.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has insane pain tolerance and endurance.

5. IQ (Overall intelligence, problem-solving, and knowledge)
Salesman: Likely very intelligent. He works for the Squid Game organization, meaning he understands human psychology and high-level operations.
Gi-hun: Smart in a survival sense but not traditionally book-smart. He struggled financially and made poor life choices.
✅ Winner: Salesman – He likely has higher general intelligence and awareness.

6. Battle IQ (Tactical thinking and adaptability in a fight)
Salesman: No known combat experience, so his battle IQ is unknown.
Gi-hun: Outsmarted and defeated Sang-woo despite being injured, showing the ability to adapt and strategize in combat.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has proven himself in a real fight.

7. Planning (Ability to create long-term strategies)
Salesman: Likely excellent at planning, given his role in recruiting players for Squid Game.
Gi-hun: More of an improviser than a long-term planner.
✅ Winner: Salesman – His job likely requires long-term strategy.

8. Strategy (Tactical decision-making in high-pressure situations)
Salesman: Likely skilled at reading people and planning ahead.
Gi-hun: Survived all Squid Game challenges through strategic decisions and teamwork.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has proven himself under extreme pressure.

8.Weapon skills (ability to defeat someone with a weapon)
Salesman’s Weapon Skills:

✅ Briefcase Combat: Defeated two foes using a briefcase, meaning he can effectively use improvised weapons.
✅ Likely Trained: Since he works for the Squid Game organization, he might have some self-defense training.
❌ No Proof of Guns or Knives: We haven’t seen him use firearms or bladed weapons.

Gi-hun’s Weapon Skills:

✅ Knife Combat: Used a knife against Sang-woo in their final fight. While he’s not a trained knife fighter, he still held his own.
✅ Experience Under Pressure: Unlike the Salesman, Gi-hun has actually fought in life-or-death situations.
❌ No Formal Training: He doesn’t seem like someone with professional weapon experience.

Final Verdict: Salesman Has More Weapon Skills
✅ Winner: The Salesman – He has proven that he can use a weapon (briefcase) to take down multiple foes, while Gi-hun only used a knife in one fight.

10. Combat Skills (Hand-to-hand fighting ability and technique)
Salesman: Showed excellent precision and timing in slapping Gi-hun. Might have some unshown training.
Gi-hun: Overpowered and disarmed Sang-woo in a life-or-death battle.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has real-life combat experience.

11. Deception (Ability to lie and mislead others)
Salesman: Master of deception. He tricks people into joining Squid Game and easily manipulates them.
Gi-hun: Can deceive when needed (e.g., tricked the old man in the marble game), but he struggles with guilt.
✅ Winner: Salesman – He’s a professional manipulator.

12. Manipulation (Ability to control or influence others)
Salesman: Elite-level manipulator. He convinces desperate people to join Squid Game without hesitation.
Gi-hun: Can be persuasive, but he’s more emotional and not a natural manipulator.
✅ Winner: Salesman – His job revolves around psychological manipulation.

13. Agility (Dodging, flexibility, reaction speed)
Salesman: Excellent reflexes, as seen when he landed perfect slaps in ddakji.
Gi-hun: Not particularly agile but has decent reaction speed in fights.

✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has insane endurance.

15. Ruthlessness (Willingness to kill or hurt others without hesitation)
Salesman: Emotionless and willing to exploit people for Squid Game. Might not hesitate in a fight.
Gi-hun: Struggled with killing Sang-woo and refused to kill unnecessarily.
✅ Winner: Salesman – He’s more likely to be ruthless.

16. Quick Thinking (Ability to react fast in unexpected situations)
Salesman: Quick reflexes in ddakji suggest strong situational awareness.
Gi-hun: Adapted to multiple deadly situations and always found a way to survive.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has repeatedly reacted well in high-stress moments.

17. Fighting Skills (Overall ability in hand-to-hand combat)
Salesman: Has quick reflexes and might have hidden fighting skills, but it’s unconfirmed.
Gi-hun: Beat Sang-woo in a brutal fight, showing real combat ability.
✅ Winner: Gi-hun – He has been tested in real combat.

18. Game Sense (Understanding rules, strategy, and adapting to games)

Fiziksel konularda Deok Su fakat zeka, strateji, manipüle, hız yani diğer hemen hemen her konuda Salesman ama Gi Hun biraz hafife alınıyor ben Gi Hunun az farkla kazanabileceğini düşünüyorum keşke Salesmanın sahne arkası rolü daha fazla olsaydı ayrıca fiziksel gücü gösterilmediği için Salesman hafife alınıyor fakat 2 cüsseli adamı kol gücü kullanmadan çantayla kolaylıkla dövdü ayrıca refleksleri ve hızı baya iyi

I don't understand how Gi Hun is so overrated, especially in intelligence, he only won by pure luck, and when he did that stupid thing of sending those guys to investigate without even knowing if it would lead to anything? Salesman knew he was being chased and then beat two trained guys without any difficulty with a briefcase and still manipulated Gi Hun to the point he wanted, he only lost by luck, and also another point where Gi Hun is overrated is in that feat of his putting the thing in the tooth that went super wrong and it was obvious that it would go wrong, Gi Hun only won the first game by luck, he has more anti-feats than feats in intelligence, The second point is also "Gi Hun would win with preparation time", he had preparation time and would still lose, in that situation where Salesman put Gi Hun where he wanted, Salesman could have killed Gi Hun at any time, but he wanted to play because he found it boring to just kill Gi Hun, this is the definitive proof that Gi Hun has no chance. W edit btw
