Women in Innovation - new support announced

We know that women are half as likely to set up a business in the UK than men. We found that only one in seven lead applicants to Innovate UK was a woman.

So we decided to take positive action to make a positive difference and launched Women in Innovation.

We were delighted to see that we had increased that percentage of women applicants. The women we’ve supported have gone on to receive acclaim in lots of different ways, two of them have been recognised as Forbes thirty under thirty.

We are now delighted to announce further funding and support and in this video we talk to some of the first winners.

We are committed to this area. We will be doing more work to ensure greater diversity in business innovation.
