AA9MU - Ham Radio Station & Morse Code With Vibroplex Bugs

My Amateur Radio Station at Lake James, Angola, Indiana; using my Vibroplex Morse Code "bug" keys, a throwback to the old days compared to keyboarding and computers; but which requires some degree of skill, and fun to have conversations (QSOs) with other hams who appreciate the distinctive melody of the operator's individual characteristic "fist".
With extra weights or lengthening on the pendulum arm, the dots (dits) can be slowed to around 5 words per minute. I like conversational QSOs at about 28 wpm, but am working to gain faster receiving speed of more like 40 wpm like the "real operators" of the early years of radio, before cell phones, text messaging, tweets, and YouTubes! Best Regards (73), and "see you on the Radio." - Mark H (AA9MU)
