Why Does Delaware Exist?

My first attempt at a geography video! I hope you guys enjoy it! This video is about why Delaware exists and how it became one of (in fact, the first) of the 50 states in the United States.

You can commercially fly planes into Delaware now. The Wilmington airport has frontier flights that commute to Orlando and Denver.

I didn't know Delaware was kinda under Pennsylvania's jurisdiction in colonial times. I find that very interesting. Great first video.

this is quite informative. i've always felt when looking at delaware on a map that it seems like it doesn't even make sense as it's own state and that it should just be a part of one of the other states that surround it. it's boundary is just so odd. it's fascinating to know more about the history and that it basically was passed back and forth between its neighboring states for a time. thanks for the info - you've got a new subscriber!

I like this video. I wonder what you are doing now and if you have any interest in making a video just like this but targeting elementary students with lower level vocabulary words. The graphics and facts are excellent. The pace and vocabulary is too fast for my 4th graders but learning about Delaware is a part of our standards.
