8 Weeks Until My First Ironman:
This was my first deload week with my new training volume—a bit of a recovery week.
It was also a test week to see where I was with my disciplines and if I was improving.
I didn't have a baseline for my bike as I just got a power meter. However, compared to where I originally thought I was, this is a huge improvement.
For my swim, I just hoped to be around the same but did see a little bit of improvement, which is always nice.
I was most worried about my run because I had put up a really solid 5K time previously and wasn't sure if I could beat it. However, I ended up beating my previous time by quite a bit, so I'm really happy about that.
I'm gaining confidence, but I'm still not where I want to be.
