John Glenn was a brilliant and wonderful man! GOD I wish there were more like him alive today! WE NEED JOHN GLENN! He was amazing and did great things and SO intelligent.

I saw a picture of John H Glenn in his Marine Corps dress blues complete with Sam Brown Belt he was a Major at the time of the picture and just before he was selected to become an astronaut. I was about ten years old at the time that picture got me interested in two things the first one I was bound and determined to be a Marine! The second and not so important as the first was to become a astronaut! I served in the United States Marine Corps from October 1973 - October 1993. Col. John H Glenn inspired me to do the very best I could. I honorably served my country as a US Marine.
