Lightroom 30 for 30 #16 Quick Tip: How To Rename You Photos

This is how I rename my photos and why. I follow the year/month/day method followed by _ and event and number of photos 000, 0000 so on and so forth.

great tip on the sequencing I was always debating on which one to choose but make sense for weddings you want a bigger sequence number.

Jared, do you subdivide your photos into several catalogs? <10k, <25k per catalog?

That help menu search functionality is an OS X only feature. Just saying...

I do something similar but for SEO optimization with google I like to throw in my name, the name of my company and some other specific things that will help me pop up faster in google. But I only do that when I'm exporting jpegs for my website.

its amazingly stupid of adobe to do this. We actually have to consult a tech professional for how to rename a file in adobe lightroom. Wild.
