I can't believe some of these comments - how are people so heartless? It makes absolutely no difference when you were raped or if you weren't cautious on the night. It's still rape and it still happened. Well done Janice for coming forward, and shame on everyone belittling her - I hope it happens to you, then maybe you'll think twice about making fun of it.

When my daughter was 6 years old, I met my future son's father. When she was 14, he began to sexually abuse her on a regular basis. When she was 16, I found out what was going on and immediately took her to the police station, because I wanted to press charges. I was told that I couldn't do this; only she could. She was so afraid that she would be hurting her little brother, if she pressed charges, that she chose not to do it. I tried very hard to persuade her to go through with it, but she wouldn't. The police told me that victims of sexual abuse, often suffer with feelings of guilt in many different areas. A strong strong feeling of guilt comes when the victim feels that he or she will be responsible for hurting a family member, if charges are laid. Overall, it can take several years, before a victim starts to see things differently, and finds the strength and courage to take action. When my daughter was 26, two officers, stopped by her house to ask her if she was ready yet. She told them that she was not. Now, my daughter is 28 years old, and she is just starting to gain the strength she needs to follow through with having her abuser charged. I feel that it won't be much longer, and he will finally be punished. I wanted to tell this story, because it is quite common for a victim of sexual abuse, to wait, rather than take legal action quickly. It is very unfair for people to treat these women badly, just because they have waited so many years to come forward. It doesn't matter how many years pass by, the pain they suffer is always there. I have seen my daughter struggle, for half of her young life, with what her brother's father did to her. I pray for all of the victims of sexual abuse, to find peace and happiness. And please people, don't judge these women, because they waited. It's been hard enough for them as it is.

I'm from the UK and we had such a similar situation with a guy called Jimmy Saville two years ago, and loads of women came forward with IDENTICAL accounts of what happened to them and how he did it etc. But like Crosby, Saville was so loved by the public, and had SO much power in the media that there was a HUGE cover up and nobody dared to come forward for decades, and unfortunately they only felt that they could come forward after he had died! The fact that the women all have similar stories is very suspicious to me, but whatever happens at least Crosby is alive to pay for what he has / might have done!

Interestingly, Dickinson has told versions of this story before. I seem to recall her telling it to Howard Stern, but she omitted the rape part. But she has consistently maintained that something dark went down between her and Cosby.

I've always known this for years and years. If there's one thing you take from this situation, it's this:
You may be through with the past, the past is *not* through with you. The past will *Not* let you go.

It's one thing if she'd agreed to it, but it really makes me disgusted that so many people in the comments are justifying and making fun of giving someone a pill and having sex with them while they are passed out.

I'm so glad that these women are finally coming out about this after 20 years. Its a good thing that these women are so strong and willing to stand up for women everywhere that have been sexually abused. They're brave. I'm sure that no matter how much money Cosby's lawyer throws, they will not accept it. Right? I mean, RIGHT?!

Women who do not report rape within one month of the incident I believe should be prosecuted because now how do u prove these things happened or did not happened.

Takes a lot of courage to come forward. When one does, others bash them or call them liars. Rape is hard to prove. But these women are coming out as a group. There is safety in numbers. This man is very famous. Do you know he made a comedy skit on drugging women? I just want to know why when a man is accused of anything, they bring out their wives? What's up with that?

The fact that Janice is now involved in this makes this scandal loose its credibility

Hard to picture her putting pajamas on to talk about the job Bill called to discuss.  Why isn't she wearing pajamas on ET if she's so comfortable in them?  And when did Bill put on the bathrobe?  Had he brought it along for the rape?  It just doesn't seem likely.  Why isn't anyone challenging her?  How do you go from being "highly suspicious" to "believing" something that shouldn't be hard to prove and hasn't been proved?  That's truly ignorant.  Over 362 claims of abuse were made against the McMartin PreSchool in the 1980s.  What did THOSE accusers have to gain by making totally unfounded accusations?  And how about the Salem Witchcraft Trials of the late 1600s?  If 20+ people accused someone of witchcraft, should I assume that that one really was a witch?  The trouble here starts with a media too timid to challenge a woman who cries rape, no matter how unlikely her story is.  It continues with people letting the media do all their thinking.  Our culture's stupid.

So, she was drugged and raped. And the first thing she did was pull out a camera (pre-cellphone days) and took a picture. And knowing that he had just raped her, he sat back and allowed her to take a picture of him  seemingly naked under a robe? Really?? Janis jumping on the bandwagon needs attention
