About the Manga (source Wikipedia):
Kengan Ashura (Japanese: ケンガンアシュラ) is a Japanese manga series written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon. It was serialized on Shogakukan's Ura Sunday website from April 2012 to August 2018, with its chapters compiled into twenty-seven tankōbon volumes. A sequel, titled Kengan Omega, began in January 2019.

About Each Anime Fighter (source Kengan Ashura wikia):

Karo Yoshinari (賀露 吉成, Karo Yoshinari; "Yoshinari Karo"), also known as The Giant of the Sea of Japan (日本海の大人道, Nihonkai no Taijinji), is a bulky heavy-looking older gentleman with an experienced, world-weary expression on his face. He is bald, with many scars littering his dome, has prominent cheekbones and has a thick white moustache which somewhat merges into his thick white beard. Karo wears fisherman's dungarees over a white short-sleeved t-shirt and a rope hachimaki on his head. Karo is a polite, quiet man who seems to have a relaxed outlook on life. He is highly protective of the harbor and will do anything to protect it. His fighting style is brute force.

Yoroizuka Saw Paing (鎧い塚塚 サーパイン, Yoroizuka Sa-pain; "Saw Paing Yoroizuka"), also known as The Howling Fighting Spirit, is a Burmese fighter with a lean and tall physique. He arguably appears much younger than he is, with a youthful and hairless face and spiky, voluminous brown hair and hazel eyes. True to his personality, he often sports a determined and enthusiastic expression with wide eyes and a perpetual grin. During bouts, he wears nothing except red shorts, a mongkol (also known as a mongkhon) and a pra jiad on both arms, being his headband and armbands respectively traditionally worn during Muay Thai bouts to ascribe confidence and luck to the fighter. Outside of bouts, he prefers to wears shorts and Hawaiian shirts. His fighting style is Lethwei

Lethwei needs more attention, more people need to know how effective the head is as a weapon

How can you not love Saw Paing? That dude what he does, and is wicked friendly when he's not crushing your skull with his own.

We didn’t explain the headbutt (which is a huge difference between Muay Thai and Lethwei) because Saw Paing didn’t use his headbutt in his fight against Karo. However, in the manga, Saw Paing’s headbutt is referred to the “Hammer of Burma” and its extremely powerful. Karo is very lucky that Saw Paing didn’t use it. Our guess it’s because Saw Paing knew he could beat Karo without having to use his head butt (which would probably finish Karo forever).

On another note, Chad didn’t want to go all out on his head kicks because we love Logan lol and because Chad is in skinny jeans. Forgive the form.

That smoooth transition tho 😏 perfect loop! 👌

Also, amazing look at Saw’s abilities. Chad knows a lot of styles to be able to show us Lethwei. it’s crazy. (Reminds me of Tony Jaa mastering so many, as he usually uses several styles in his movies…)

Is Chad gonna end up in films?! 🤔

Your shorts I will always click because I know it's not some low effort, barely coherent TTS garbage. I always find your break downs fascinating and they help me when thinking of fight scenarios for my own stuff.

lethwei is an amazing combat sports. i used to fight in amateur rank when i was in high school. of course tournament rules are a little bit more controlled. in real combat, you rarely clinche. clinching is dangerous. if you do, you'll get headbutted hard. although, you will still see clinches in tournament.
lethwei can be literally translated to flying fist/floating hand. let- hwei [let= hand/fist, hwei= floating/flying].
back in the days, it was trained by warrior monks (as secondary to armed combat) to fill the ranks of the king's armies.
the reason why there are only knockouts, is because originally it wasn't meant to be 1v1 combat sports but rather to fight against multiple attackers, for survival. thus, even eye gouging, biting, joint breaking were also allowed in the original version.

Lethwei always felt like the overshadowed cousin of muay thai.
