3985 actually started decently sized fires before they revoked her rights to the coal piles

BNSF 4309 (engine in video) is a C44-9W, built in January of 1999.

The turbo charger on the diesel has "spit the dummy" as it were (malfunctioned, and needs to be replaced).

I was at a unique spot called the bethungra rail spiral watching a steam loco go around it, when I was driving off I saw the loco had started 2 fires, 1 next to the track and one also next to the track beside the road.

The locomotive caught fire because that locomotive was pulling more than 27, 000, 000 pounds and probably pulling 50, 000, 000 pounds which is a tremendous hot job for the overloading of the designed specifications.

The sparks off of train tracks are said to have caused the town of Lytton BC to burn down on one of the hottest recorded days in the towns history. 😢

The company I work for builds diesel generator pod systems for rail yard locomotives, I see a ton of blown turbo seals on pods that come back for rebuilds. Maintaining these things is brutal, the environment in the engine bays is brutal on these pods.
