I couldn't solce my problem even after following this video. But i followed another method in which you need to go to file manager, then go to folder "Android", then go to folder "data", then find folder named and delete this folder. After that clear all recent apps. And then try activating the Google pay account or upi id. 100% working solution. Thanks.

HI I had this problem.you can solve this problem by installing true caller app and setting it as default. After you set up ur account you can set back ur messaging app as default.
