Okay so I’ll explain the trick to Amazon flex I’ve been doing it since 2017 and the best way to make good money with those blocks is to let them sit for as long as possible and let them surge just like doing Uber but with Amazon flex the downside is you constantly having to keep hitting the refresh button on your phone from time to time. For a example if there is a 3hr shift posted for $54 let it sit and watch it from time to time and then sooner or later the amount will go up to at least $75 and up. Here in Los Angeles over the holidays the 3hr blocks went up as high as $130 due to the fact drivers were being smart and letting them sit long enough to where Amazon was forced to offer more money. Patience will get you more and more money with Amazon flex but unfortunately it doesn’t always work cuz you have a lot of drivers out there that get desperate and inpatient and take the cheap rates

Flex should tell us what areas we will deliver beforehand

I have definitely noticed higher pays recently. I rarely see the $54 3 hour shift nowadays. Now I normally see $60 and up for the 3 hour shifts. As far as Prime Now and Whole Foods shifts go, those are the ones that are the most competitive to get, but of course they are the ones that pay the best. I've noticed that I consistently get $25 - $30 with tips. I love Amazon Flex! Great insightful video Mike!

I’ve seen them as high as $200 for 4 hrs, but those were ones where you had to pick up within 15-30 mins. I only accept $100 or more for 3-4 1/2 hrs and sometimes I only get 8-12 stops because carts aren’t ready. If you watch the app 1-2hrs before the start times the $ amount goes up fast the closer it gets to the pick up times… 3:30am-8:30am gets me $100-180 Guaranteed

I am finding a lot of shifts that are generally 4-5 hours, $81-$102…. The issue I have with these routes is they are largely unpredictable area of delivery area… ie downtown (one way streets), apartment complexes, or really far out. I had a route during the holidays that was 48 packages with the app offering really poor directions which wastes time

With gas 4.72 in jersey its a draw back when delivering for $60 or 4 hr runs.

Thanks for the advice and great video. I do drive doordash and make $50.00 a night after work. I enjoy the flexability. Amazon flex may not be a fit for me yet, but I do need a consistent payout. Doordash at times will not give out the consistent payout. Some weeknights are $30 and weekends are more at times. Thanks for the great video.

You never wanna grab a $54 routes. This morning I did a 4hr for $132 and plan to grab a $99 3hr at the evening. Never NEVER grab base

I agree, driving for Amazon flex in the winter is not worth it especially in New Hampshire. My standing went from great to fair because I deliver two packages late because of a snowstorm, also because I brought back six packages. because the business was closed. I don't think they have any idea of all you go through delivering those packages. They always send messages about safety, but they only care about their packages at the end of the day. I even fell twice and hurt my knees, I sent them pictures of my knees but they didn't care.

Totally agree with your logic in this video I currently drive flex and because of the reasons you mentioned Prime Now (grocery) and Whole Foods are all I do… this weekend I literally did 3 2 hour shifts Thurs thru Sunday which I typically finish in 1 hr and made over $600 which isn’t too bad but I also started with Uber & Lyft just last night and made $240 in one day in 8 hrs alternating between the two apps so thanks for the videos I’m new at all this and learning but I definitely like to work smarter opposed to harder 💯👌🏽✅💪🏽

My market has prime now and Whole Foods for grocery pick up. Those are the only ones I do. I like to knock out the early shifts then go into Uber eats and been seeing good results. For prime now and Whole Foods the most stops I have had so far is 9. I’m still gonna Flex 💪

I do flex in the morning before I go to my office for the day. 330-430 AM route start times. The closer it gets to start time they'll surge. I don't take any less than $25/ hour and I average close to $30.
This works especially well for me since it's not during meal times. This mornings route was $142 for a 4.5 hour route. They didn't have any that big left so I got a 3.5 hour. had 28 drop offs, and I completed it in 2.75 hours total. Then I'll knock out a couple shipt orders between the office and dinner time, finish the night with uber eats and door dash.

Here in Fresno, Ca. We usually get $106 minimum for a 4 hour shift. Highest I’ve gotten was a Saturday shift for $154

Great video! Most of what u said is accurate Weather, labor, short days, comparing to other apps! I'm glad I watched ! Good luck all!

I get $21/hour for Flex. Fresh offers only $16/hour and the drive to pickup the orders doesn't make that doable for me. Also, while I get many blocks that say they're 4 or 4.5 hours, I can often do them faster which results in increased overall pay.

I'm out in NJ and lately I've been sticking to the prime now shifts where you deliver groceries because of the tips involved. On average it says the base pay is usually just $33 plus tips for the 2 hour shift but I always finish within 1.5 hrs and thanks to the tips I end up earning at the very least around $40 and sometimes as high as $60+. The regular package shifts have been trash lately even when close to the shift start date, idk why they stopped surging them these days 🤷‍♂️

Amazon flex is pretty decent here in Boston, can't complain at all, would love to try it in other cities 😀
