Just look at this little girl Karina! She is so small and dirty and spent 2 days in a deerskin envelope. Still she is so nice and smiles all the time. She prepares to live in the harshest conditions in the a world on a Chukchee Peninsula

The Chukchi (or Chukchee) are an ancient arctic people who live at the meeting point of two continents, Eurasia and North America. They are also the closest asian relatives of native americans. They live in most difficult climate and nature conditions. But still they don't give up! And their hard life worth seeing by people spoiled by civilization...

We have not a clue how hard some people work to live. I have the greatest respect for these folks.

Omg when he pulled apart the fur to reveal a little baby face sleeping. My heart melted. How precious.

No time to play around, no time for tik tok, instagram, etc. This gives me no reason to complain. These people are hard working and carry a lot of strength. May God Bless them abundantly!

Karina is such a cutie ☺️ and very patient she seemed. I saw some of the comments saying “well why don’t they move”?. This was their land and they don’t want to, And that should be their business.

Their lifestyle, means of survival, cooking, even their storytelling reminds me of how my parents and grandparents lived - surviving off the land, preparing their food over open flames in traditional huts/tipi ("teepee, " conventionally). I am Native American, Cree/Ojibwe. Watching the grandmother reminded me of my own honored elders. I've nothing but respect and admiration for their lives and the manner they conduct their survival. They are closer to the earth than most. I see kindred spirits in these brave, strong folks. Love and respect.

Even though ive lived in a remote Alaskan town that was regularly struck by strong winds and got to -65°F, and my family has experienced its fair share of blackouts where we relied on snow for washing, gas stoves for heating, and battery-powered lanterns for light, I cannot even imagine living a life like these herders. I would just give up and die. Kudos to them, they're the true survivors.

That baby in that reindeer skin is the cutest thing ever! I admire how they are all so happy together in their awesome hut together as family should be. God bless them!

I love their way of life. It's their choice not be modernized. Look what the government did to the rest of us, disconnected us from our lands, our cultures, our way of life, our ceremonies, our languages and disconnected us from our seasonal ways. More power to them. So proud to see them living their way of life! ❤❤

Next time I catch myself feeling weak or lazy I'll watch this again. Omg...these reindeer herders live in the Tundra -60 degrees. They break camp and reset in a new location every 3 days. They ALWAYS drive 300 km on skidoos through snow storms to the nearest town to buy groceries! May God forgive me...I've been so ungrateful.
