It just makes sense that DJI introduced portable power stations this year, and the DJI Power 500 is the perfect companion for creators on the go. As the little brother to the Power 1000, this compact powerhouse offers a ton of features, is super quiet and has more than enough power to charge your devices on the go. We think it might be the best small power station we've had our hands on yet!

One other benefit of the DJI Power 500 are the USB-C ports also accept power, so you can recharge it via USB, up to 200watts.

The thing is, you point out the negatives. But, your main positive is the price. So, you need to understand that to add the things that would make this perfect, would add to the cost. And then people would be comparing it to higher priced alternatives. I think DJI got it spot on. Does everything I need and I’m not paying for things I don’t need (like solar charging and 12v input from a car socket). I just wish I could get them here in Barbados

I prefer a bare bones unit without the accessories at a lower price. I would never connect mine to solar, thus don't need that feature, which would add cost. The 3 port MPPT unit they sell is $59. Or you can go with the single MPPT connector and car adapter for $49. Both would unnecessarily add 10-20% to the cost, if they are not needed by the consumer. Now, if there were no option for solar, that would be a realistic disadvantage.

The DJI 500 is great I use it on my farm. And it will run my pancake air compressor with no problem. I love this little thing

You're not running a household refrigerator for 24 hours with only 512wh 😂😂 Maybe around 6 hours.

That may be the smallest power station I've seen yet. I do like how light weight it is though and how easily it can be transported. Agree with you on the things that could be improved. Appreciate you guys sharing!

So my question is the eco flow river2 max or the Anker !!! Thank you

Agree on adapters.

Also, should have a programmable DC 5521 barrel output. Also, can this COMBINE the charging of the two ports (DJI & A/C input) to increase charging time? Lastly, would have been nice for the USB-C ports to be in/out.

I think this is a good unit for the 379 price tag. it’s perfect for charging phones, computers, powering WiFi routers etc, I wish I had this unit exactly 3 months ago when a small tornado knocked out power in my area, I wasn’t prepared so I had to suffer, i went to Best Buy in a pinch to get something all the had was an anker power bank for 200 dollars, I thought that was a high price but I needed it at that time. After I got through that situation I started researching power stations & came across this one, for 179 more I could get a better product than the anker with more usability so I returned the anker & ordered this guy.

FYI, the Power500 can take a max of 300W of solar through their proprietary Adapter Module and they recommend only using solar panels from "Zignes" as an incorporative full package which costs a staggering $956 in the DJI store.

Bobby!?! Broooo I’ve missed your content so much and wondered when something would drop on your panel. Scrolling away and was like “no way, that’s robbie!” And realising I’ve got heaps of new content in another interest of mine.

How would this do with an average sump pump?

my electrolux refrigerator with freezer compartment needs to start compresor power of 766 watts for 20 seconds. Then it stabilized on 75 wats and when it reaches temperature it has 0 wats for a short period of time till it is open and closed....and again ....
So lets say 75 wats is needed for fridge. If it has efficiency maybe like of 91% then from 512 wh it has 466 Wh.

If my fridge needs 75 wats constanttly then it can run it : 0, 0167*372 minutes*75 wats = 465, 93 Wh . So it can run for 372 minutes =5 hours and 52 minutes

If you want a small power unit that doesn't make noise try the Zendure Superbase M, it doesn't even have a fan, instead it's designed to radiate the excess heat away. It's basically a flashlight with a huge battery and an inverter.

The no solar controller intergrated and lack of cigaret socket is a deal breaker for me having to buy things that come with other power stations is a bummer

No way you can run a residential fridge 24 hrs with that

A FRIDGE for 24hrs? And a router for 39hrs?
Are you under the impression that a FRIDGE uses only 1.5x the power of a router???
Refrigerators use around 500-800w. Routers use <50w. You're off by an order of magnitude.

Dude what - "run the fridge in your house for like 24 hours" what? How? What? Dude come on now your numbs are a little off.

Did you nean to say 2.4 hours. Because that makes sense. Just saying
