UPDATE: Google Search Console Index Coverage is now part of Page Indexing. Updated how-tos for Page Indexing can be found here:

If you are new to indexing or SEO, or have a small site, here's how to get started:

Decide whether you need to use this report. If your site has fewer than 500 pages, you probably don't need to use this report. Instead, use the following Google searches to see if key pages (or any pages) on your site are indexed. Examples:

Only if these searches return no results for your site and you are willing to spend the time to fully understand this report should you use the Page Indexing report to see why your site isn't indexed (see the troubleshooting section).

Great info and explanation. I thought I had an issue with redirects, but this makes a lot of sense.

When I press Control + U on my Mac keyboard nothing happens. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I see 'pages with redirect' listing all of my webpages with 'http://', which redirect to the 'https://' version. The website has been around before https, so I figure that's why. But is this a problem and hurting the seo? Or should I ignore it?

I found that there are multiple pages on my sites that have not been redirecting issues.
Does this affect the ranking of my overall website?
Or it will only affect the ranking of the pages that have not been indexed?

i have a similar problem, i have a lot of redirect pages because of the comments pages of the theme, is there any way to remove the comments URL from the original URL?

Hello RankYa, great advice with the Redirect! Recently my hosting provider had a problem and my site was down for about 10 days. I did a 301 redirect pointing my website home page to a landing page hosted by another company using a different domain. Today my website was restored and I deleted the 301 redirect. I still see the old redirect domain showing up on Google, but now my main website URL is starting to be visible on Google again. My question is, do I need to notify Google the 301 has been deleted and I need them to focus on my home page URL. I hope this does not affect my page ranking. I was in the top position for my local city and now I am on page two of the search. How can I tell Google this was temporary and nothing has changed on my website?
Thank you for your help!
