Did you know you can freeze tomatoes and save them for winter? Wash and dry them, then core them and put them in a freezer bag. Squeeze out all the air and seal the bag. Put them in the freezer and when you need fresh tomatoes, pull out what you need. As they defrost, the skins will peel off, making it easier for you.
