We Built Our Kids a Treehouse On Our Anniversary

For our 13th anniversary, we decided to do some things to make our wild homestead safer and more fun for our two boys. So we've been in a frenzy of landscaping, cleaning, organizing--and today we built them a tree fort!

We built around an old maple they love to play on that was logged 30-35 years ago, and grew back with near a dozen trunks. We show how we built a sturdy treehouse without directly attaching to the tree, that should give it room to continue to grow.
