Solved! Sky Q Mini Solid Connection With Any Broadband Provider.

Having experienced drop outs with Sky Q minis over the years, with lots of engineer calls outs and lots of wasted time and brick walls.

I FINALLY SOLVED IT!! With BT Broadband and whole home wifi - I get rock solid connection to Sky Q All around a large home with 70MB Download and a router miles away from the main Sky 2tb box.

Setup is 1 main Sky Q 2TB box, 4 Sky Q minis and 6 BT WholeHome Wifi Disks.

Thanks, can I just clarify - are your sky boxes on the whole home mesh network or on the separate BT hub network?

Great video. I can see why the bt mesh gives you internet connection but I thought that the sky q mini boxes had to connect over the sky mesh between each q box?

A question... when you select wifi network on the Sky Q boxes you get 3 options... Sky, router from another broadband supplier or wired connection. With your lounge Sky Q connected by ethernet to the BT disc, which do you choose? Broadband from another supplier or cabled connection?

Why did you connect some mini boxes via Ethernet and others through WiFi?

You really need a step by step on this and actually do the steps and pairing from scratch. I am planning to do the same (now on EE wifi 7 900mbps package with 3 wifi hubs) but not sure if it’s needed to connect a disc to router via Ethernet can’t you just get discs setup without being Lan’ed into router from a disc. Also have come from BT where we had the Black I believe newer discs BT send you and also we had the whole home wifi package (BT 100 Halo 3 150mbps) and we still had issues with net drop outs.

Where do u get a mini box from please... I want to get one but not through sky who want to charge me a monthly fee for sky multitoom
