Donald Trump threatens to blow Iran to ‘smithereens’ over assassination plot

Former US president Donald Trump has responded to Iran’s assassination plots by threatening to blow the country up to “smithereens”.

The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton says he understands Mr Trump’s anger at Iran.

“Clearly, that country is up to no good in relation to its attitude to former president Trump, and I’d be pretty furious too,” he told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
