As of 2023, Tesla has six factories located all over the world. Fremont Factory is the first manufacturing site of the EV maker. The original “Tesla Gigafactory” Giga Nevada is where they produce lithium-ion batteries, thanks to the collaboration with Panasonic.

🚗How many Tesla Gigafactories are in the US?
Tesla currently operates out of four full-operational facilities. Three are in the United States, and one is in China.

“Gigafactory Nevada was designed to be covered with solar panels. to date, we have installed solar panels with a capacity of 3,200 kW. This installation will grow to about 24,000 kW – the whole roof of the current building structure – by the end of next year.

It is designed to have a combined square footage of nearly 4.3 million (0.4 square kilometer) and cost a combined $1.06 billion, according to November filings submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

This plant is more akin to a highly automated BMW vehicle assembly plant than the outdated GM facility at Ft Wayne for example. The rest of the U.S. auto industry better step up its' game and fast so they can compete globally or there will be no auto industry left in America.

Because the body parts for Tesla vehicles are stamped and in one piece how did they repair an accident on a vehicle like that if a quarter panel has to be replaced or a front section of the vehicle has to be replaced who does the repair and how is it done
