Oh my, finally. Fish from the pike family are delicious. It's worth dealing with the bones. y bones can be a pain but there are a couple ways to avoid them. Pike/pickerel and walleye are some of my favorite fresh water fish.

Quick question. Do you think a 6 inch steel leader would be long enough to prevent bite offs from pike? Not expecting to catch anything larger than 40”

There are 2 different sets of bones in the top hunk you cut out… I would be interested in seeing how you make them actually make them boneless. Not sure if you cover that in a different video.

Have you tried filling it like a trout then cutting the y-bone out? Took me a few to get the hang of it but very fast and keeps the whole fillet together.

I use this knife for slicing chicken breast into thin slices. I semi freeze the chicken and it makes slicing a breeze. Be careful with this knife, it is super sharp.

Pike are good as long as you soak em in milk and double dredge them

How do you know where to cut to miss the bones in that first hunk? I always come out with two sets of bones..
