JOHN DEERE Tractors Mowing, Raking, Baling Hay

In this video Big Tractor Power spends time out in the field with JOHN DEERE tractors and CLAAS hay and forage equipment putting hay. The video shares the mowing, raking and baling process. Watch for a JOHN DEERE 8245R tractor mowing the hay with a 29.9 ft CLAAS Disco 3200C/9200C Triple Mower. JOHN DEERE 6130M tractors with CLAAS 1750 Liner rakes windrow the hay. Round baling the hay is a JOHN DEERE 8245R tractor and 560R Mega Wide HC2 5x6 baler. Collecting the bales is a JOHN DEERE 6175R tractor and 680R loader.

Our farm, we use John Deere 4010 diesel with JD 920 MOCO discbine, Duetz-Fahr KH500 tedder, New Idea 9’ roller bar rake, and JD 336 small square baler with kicker. Great videos! Always enjoy seeing the “big” stuff!

I love hay season. Reminds me of my childhood and walking up and down each winthrow behind the baler to pitchfork hay. We ran a John Deere 4020 with a John Deere baler whose number I forget.

I first saw round bales in the early Sixties ( when we had a A-C delaship ) but couldn't understand the advantages of them even when they were small enough to handle by hand . Today's large round bales may present some storage advantage I'm unaware of but only for steers and pasture feeding IMO . Still, good video series !

That used to be my job first of the summer was moving hay bales when we still had our feedlot operation though I did it in an old 4640 but it wasn’t too bad.

We use an old Fella 7' disk mower, an older Walton 4 basket tedder, a New Holland Rolabar 256 rake, a John Deere 375 round roller, and a John Deere 336 square baler. We have a 1958 841 Ford, a 1983 John Deere 2550, and a 1987 John Deere 4050 to pull it all.

They make it all look so easy, must take a lot of experience and skill to use all that equipment
