As a french, who thought bûche was pretty standard, this few seconds helped me appreciate even more what my grand mother does every year for us. Thanks.

As a french person, I'm so happy you've made a bûche! (To make it prettier some french stores have little figurines you Can stick on top 😁)

My French teacher used to give us extra credit if we made these over winter break and sent in pictures showing the process. It was a lot of fun!

As a french person, who enjoy baking a lot :
You have all my respects on this one. It s considered a very hard one, most people just buy it from a Bakery here, and you nailed it. ⭐🌟✨👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fun fact: there's also an iced version of this which is much cheaper but also popular and makes this accessible to everyone. Cake versions can be up to 10x more expensive ^^
I much prefer the cake though, because like for any other cakes you have an infinte variety of flavours!!

Interesting to see that the French has this as a tradition. I am a Brit and we have it too! It's called a "Yule Log" it's gorgeous

Yes! As a French Canadian, "la bûche de Noël" is a must for Christmas.

Yours looks great honestly! Most of us are lazy and just buy the premade ones. My family does anyway... Maybe we're just lazy
😅.

French here. You did an incredible job, honestly it is really complicated recipe and most of us just buy one. I wish you all a merry Christmas !

I'm French and my dad has been trying to teach me how to make this for 10 years, I've never come even close to what you made, so honestly good job 😂
