Dimash: Olimpico [Reaction] - An Epic Tale of Valor

Dimash takes us on a journey through decrepit lands rife with pitfalls and danger as we venture forth to set free our captured comrade. In this epic performance, Dimash showcases his ability to be a one-stop opera shop, capable of taking on all the roles required and capture the feelings and sensations of this journey, transporting us to a faraway land with the power of his voice. 👉 Descended from Olympus: Breathtakingly magnificent, doesn't Dimash look like the Greek god Zeus here? Zeus - father of gods and men, benevolent and encouraging.
This song was written specifically for Dimash and the opening ceremony of the II European games in Minsk in 2019. It was the first work that Igor Krutoy and Liliya Vinogradova created for Dimash.

In December 2019, the song “Olimpico” performed by Dimash Qudaibergen became the Song of the Year 2019 in Russia. At the awards ceremony of the 'Victoria'Russian Music Awards in 2019, Dec. in the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Igor Krutoy was awarded Composer of the Year, Dimash the Best Vocalist in Classical Music and he also received the Special Prize for Discovery of the Year.

* Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.

Krutoy wrote of what working with Dimash meant to him: “How lucky it is to be doing what you love to do, writing for such a brilliantly feeling singer, evoking deep emotion in the audience and being in demand'.
So far, Igor has composed several songs for Dimash and many songs in 30 years for Lara Fabian and other great singers. By the way, all Dears should also subscribe to Igor's channel. He deserves it and also flowers from the Russian Dears.

* Lilia Vinogradova wrote the grandios lyrics and is known as a permanent co-author of the composer Igor Krutoy, with whom has created wonderful works in the crossover genre. They created the cycle for DA Hvorostovsky, albums for Sumi Jo, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Aivazov, Lara Fabian and others.
When she asked why she did it in Italian, the poet replied: “First, Italian is by definition the international language of music, the language that allows the vocalist to open up as much as possible. This is the best language for singing...
And secondly, I. Y. Krutoy and me have a well-established tradition of writing most of our works in Italian when creating in the crossover genre.”

Liliya Vinogradova says about Dimash: 'Imagine a diamond that is born in the bowels of the earth — And now it appears in the light of God, and people have the opportunity to look at it, touch it, and enjoy it. Dimash’s natural talent is akin to such a unique gem…. This song was composed especially for Dimash‘s voice by Igor Krutoy. Dimash premiered the song at the opening ceremony of the European Games in Minsk 2019. It was meant to encourage the athletes for the upcoming competitions. The lyrics contribute to that as well.

If you don't understand Italian, the lyrics are a huge part of the song, if you want to understand why he expresses as he does, as does all his songs which all have a meaningful story! Just check for subtitles or the videos from his YT page, many versions have english lyrics--so amazing! Great reaction to his exceptional delivery!

Igor Krutoy composed this for Olympic inspiration and to be sung by Dimash in European games. Their collaboration have produced some awesome pieces. I hope they work together again. Right now Dimash is off...exploring his voice, the world and himself. I suspect he will come back around to his classical roots. However his journey is Interesting as well.
