Lord of the Rings has been in my life for as long as I can remember. My dad loves it and has all of the Extended Editons on DVD. I've watched each one at least 5 times and my dad read it to me when I was little.

It took me a long time to truly understand it, but in recent years Lord of the Rings has really grown on me.

I just finished the Phil Dragash audiobook and was sobbing throughout the while last chapter right into the chronicles of the Red Book of Westmarch. So naturally I came here. To cry more. I think this quote really hits at why I find the end so painfully bittersweet:
