⚠PATCHED⚠This has now fully been patched and fixed. Most people will require starting a completely new playthrough on Maximum difficulty to unlock this, although it is still possible to do offline using a disc version of the game.

I JUST DID A FULL LEGIT PLAYTHROUGH ON MAXIMUM SECURITY DIFFICULTY. AND EVEN THEN THE TROPHY DIDNT POP!!! WTF IS GOING ON!

I was literally just able to get the trophy using the exploit. But you need the disc edition.

Step 1. Complete game on any difficulty up until the very end where you have to run to escape pods.

Step 2. Delete game data and disconnect from internet. Redownload the game while staying offline so you install base game.

Step 3. Boot up last save you have.

Step 4. MOST IMPORTANT STEP! Switch to maximum security difficulty and restart the checkpoint! You have to restart checkpoint otherwise you cannot make a manual save.

Step 5. Confirm your difficulty is still set to maximum security and make a manual save.

Step 6. Close down game and redownload the update. (1.08 on ps5)

Step 7. Load manual save you just made once download is complete and finish last part of the game. Trophy will pop after end game scene and title screen hits

I played the whole game on easy in dec 2022 and with your help and seeing everyones post I got Maximum Security trophy 🏆 this is how I did it .
I installed the game without updates (make sure your not on the internet) started with out updates then loaded my last save then change to maximum Security make a new save . Go back online update the game then play from new save file . This worked for me 26.8.22

Just did this too! I did a manual save after I switched it to maximum security in the section to run to the escape pods. Then I exited to the main menu and loaded the manual save. Worked just fine. Thanks much for this tip!!

I’m on version 1.7 for PS5 if that helps anyone.

Still works today on PS5. I want to play maximum security, but I will wait until NG+ is a thing. Can't believe we have to wait nearly 3 months for that

Just did it 17 December using physical game on XBSX.

Here are the steps I followed.

- Create manual save before Pods
- Uninstall game
- Disconnect from internet, install game from CD
- Load my manual save. Changed difficulty to maximum. Manual save will not work. Wait until you die from explosions. Now you can create a manual save.
- Finish the Game. I also saved during staff roll.
- Fully quit game. Connect on internet, Launch Game and install update.
- Load latest manual save.
- finish the Game, had my achievement.

I dont know if it can help, but it should be noted i started the game with maximum difficilty and Switch to medium at the beginning. Hope that helps.

Great, i just legit beat the game at max and the archivement seems to be completley busted now (digital version Series X). It was fun (mostly) but i'm not gonna play through it a third time. 25/26 it shall stay for now.

If you delete the game and reinstall offline with disc copy. And it keeps crashing at the pods Use this method. I can confirm this keeps it from crashing . After unistalling game(to remove update) reinstall disc copy while offline(turn off in network settings in ps settings) reload most recent medium security save. Run into hall. Pause and Change to maximum security difficulty. At this point you cant manual save. And the game crashes if you try to finish. But if you die by letting the ship blow before making to pods. Itll checkpoint and still be set on maximum security difficulty setting, then it will let you make a manual save and itll let you finish the game without it crashing.
Once credits roll. It glitches and wont let you skip. Even If you press r1 or r2(rb or RT) you can hear jacob swinging the baton. So pause the game to open pause menu and exit to main menu. Then switch back online and download the update. After the update.
Load up that maximum security manual save you just recently made. Run to the pods again and itll pop either before the credits or after you skip them. Cheers friends 🍻

I just tried this and got nervous because the game updated to version 1.007 when I restarted after beating it. Luckily, it was not patched yet, still works on latest version. I did unlock the achievement.

I finished the game twice in maximum security and the trophy didn't pop up

Tried doing it like 10 times and had no luck getting it to pop. Might try again tomorrow and see what happens. If not, it looks like I'll be waiting for NG+ to run through on max.

FYI if you have this disc and playing on 1.00 (god help you, the game crashed for me every 3-4 check points on PS5) there’s 1 more step you need to do.

The credits will be silent and once done it will not bring you to the main menu. So after the trophy/achievement pops in the credits. Exit to main menu and exit the game.

Then when you get back into the game via loading your last auto save, the difficulty will STILL be Minimum, even if you changed it, so just change it back to maximum for the 2nd time, and complete and it’ll pop.

After you change to maximum you can also just sit in the red halls until you blow up with out having to exit the game or close the app.

Well this trophy was not popping for me after 20+ tries. I then loaded up 1 of the many saves (it already said maximum security) after the boss and made another manual save, I then finished the game and the trophy didnt pop so I closed the game completely (did not turn off my PS5), I loaded up the new new manual and ran through the ending again and it popped. That was on 11/12/22 with 1.07 PS5 disc version

Thank the heavens above for exploits like this. I'm a completionist, but I hate difficulty trophies. I couldn't imagine the final battle or the two head battles on maximum security. Big props to people who got it legit but I'm doing this as I type.
