Unlike a lot of people on here. I like Tom because he’s a great singer. I know nothing about his private life because I don’t want to know. His voice is fantastic. Met him when I worked at N.E.C Arena. And he was amazing.

Christmas 1967.i was 8 1/2 weeks pregnant, had just been to my Husband's Christmas Party and became unwell. I sat on a wall opposite the GAUMONT THEATRE in SHEFFIELD while my Husband went to get a taxi.. A good looking man came across the road with a hound tooth check coat draped across his shoulders, flanked by two women. He enquired why I was sitting there, clearly in discomfort, and said he would wait with me while my Husband returned, and he chatted with me about the pregnancy etc., FOR ABOUT 20 MINS. MY Husband returned and the man left, wishing me well... Husband asked who that was, but I had no clue. He then drew my attention to a massive poster pasted on the GAUMONT. "It was TOM JONES." I never forgot how concerned, considerate and natural he was. My Son was born two weeks later on the 2nd Jan. 1968. I've loved Tom since I was 17 and couldn't understand why I didn't recognise him?

I first heard Tom Jones back on my Mother’s albums back in the 60’s. He was always a star and the best singer from the first time he opened his mouth till even today! I’ve never heard anyone do what he does with a song! He had it all; sing, dance and bring women to their knees!
When God made him, he broke the mold!!!
His style, always seems fresh as the first time he opened his mouth! I’m sure he has golden vocal cords, how else could he still sound like he did 60 years ago? Whenever he sings, I will always drop what I’m doing to experience the greatest voice ever to grace the stage and airwaves! I am a songwriter to this day and always amazed how he brought every song he sang to life! it didn’t matter if it was country, hot, rock, R&B, soul, etc.

My husband and I always enjoyed listening to Sir Tom Jones, yes, out of respect I added the Sir. His voice, truly fabulous! Tom Jones a favorite of my Father. We watched his variety show on Friday night. I think my Dad liked his style and soulful voice. I think he thought he was cool. It's a pleasant memory for me, one of very few.
