Vintage! Glass Fever Thermometers (Mercury & Gallium)

These are a few Mercury and Gallium glass oral fever thermometers in my collection. Despite popular belief that technology is better, this old technology is in my opinion- still the most accurate. I am just calling this video vintage for the fact that mercury fever thermometers have been banned in the United States (this excludes the large Geratherm- Galium thermometer), when in all actuality most of these were made within the last decade ('00s).

Yeah, Gallium is a silver liquid metal just like mercury -(but its not toxic), although its only liquid above 85 degrees F, unlike mercury which will go into sub-zero degrees before freezing. Chinese goods?

I think Glass rectal temperature is better to use it for baby or adult could use it due to accurate these one instead of Geratherm rectal temperature might not the best? who know?
