They should have a cutscene similar to Auntie Ethel, where mid-combat the Prism disorients her and you get a flash of her backstory, then you can choose to knock her unconcious similar to Minsc in Act 3.

_With Update #5 Larian officially enabled Minthara to be recruited while siding with_ *Halsin and Zevlor;*

_When you are ready to wipe out the entire Goblin camp; in order to recruit Minthara you first have to make her_ *TEMPORARILY HOSTILE* _by_ *COMMITTING A CRIME* _next to her and then_ *NON-LETHALLY KNOCK HER OUT.* _Despite the journal mentioning she died, continue to slaughter everyone in the Goblin camp in order to save the Tieflings and the Grove._

_Once you eventually reach ACT II with everyone saved; Minthara can be found in Moonrise Towers being judged by General Ketheric Thorm where you can recruit her. She and Halsin will both be chilling at camp after she's been rescued._

*DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES knock Minthara out without the TEMPORARILY HOSTILE tag under her healthbar, otherwise she will not spawn in ACT II.*

00:00 STEP 1 - Commit a crime next to her within the Goblin Camp
00:13 STEP 2 - Non-lethally knock Minthara out
00:22 STEP 3 - Wipe out the rest of the Goblin Camp by killing Priestess Gut and Ragzlin
00:26 CONGRATULATIONS! - You will find Minthara at Moonrise Towers in ACT 2 when you eventually get there.

*What do I have to do to recruit Minthara?*
- 00:00 STEP 1 - Commit any sort of crime next to Minthara within the Goblin Camp to make her *Temporarily Hostile*
- 00:13 STEP 2 - Non-lethally knock Minthara out while she is *Temporarily Hostile*
- 00:22 STEP 3 - Immediately after kill Priestess Gut and Ragzlin without taking a long rest until they're dead
- 00:26 CONGRATULATIONS! - You are now free to continue playing the game however you wish and Minthara will be at Moonrise Towers in ACT 2 when you eventually get there.

*Is there anything else that has to be done other than these 3 steps?*
- _No, these 3 simple steps are all that is required. No more, no less._

*Can I talk to Minthara at all if I want to recruit her?*
- _Yes, you can fully talk to Minthara about anything and everything. Just DO NOT start the raid and DO NOT tell her you're there to hunt her._

*Can I save Sazza?*
- _Yes, Sazza can even be seen in the video standing next to Minthara in ACT 2. Rescue Sazza from the Grove and from Minthara. When she learns of the Grove's location simply tell her you don't wish to be a part of the raid and then tell her you have other stuff to do first._

*Can I save the Grove, Tieflings and recruit Halsin along with Minthara?*
- _Yes, this is a way to recruit her during a _*_good playthrough_*_ therefore everyone is alive and well. Grove is saved, Tieflings are saved and alive in ACT 2, Halsin is a companion along with Minthara in ACT 2._

*Can I kill Priestess Gut before knocking Minthara out?*
- _Yes, Priestess Gut can be killed at any time whenever the player wants. When she is killed doesn't matter at all._

*Can I kill Ragzlin before knocking Minthara out?*
- _NO, Ragzlin has to be killed after she's knocked out because his death makes the entire camp permanently hostile._

*Can I knock Minthara out during the raid battle?*
- _NO, because at that point she can no longer become _*_Temporarily Hostile._*_ Please follow the 3 simple steps exactly as mentioned._

*Minthara just stands uninteractable in the Goblin camp after the celebration with Halsin and the Tieflings?*
- _Congratulations, it means you did it correctly and she'll show up at Moonrise._

*I knocked Minthara out, why is she not at Moonrise?*
- _There are many answers to that question, none are important. You did it incorrectly, please ensure you're following the mentioned 3 simple steps to the letter._

*Is this an official method for a good playthrough?*
- _Yes, Larian specifically mentioned in their Update #5 patch notes that Minthara will now show up in ACT 2 if she was knocked out during ACT 1. The implementation of it is currently quite raw and basic, but I have no doubt Larian will make this much better with future updates. For now it has to be done specifically this way._

If anyone was curious like I was, I tested this with Patch 5 going to Moonrise as fast as I could to see if Minthara showed up. I needed to see if you could finish the quest defeating the Goblin leaders for Halsn to leave, all you have to do is Knock out Minthara again to get him to leave after defeating the other two, the Journal will say shes dead but I went the Mountain Path to get to moonrise and boom she was there and I got the Party and Grove saved, Im guessing this will work with going through the Underdark as well hopefully. This was only because I long rested and she was up again. and Halsin wasnt leaving the Goblin Camp for me.

Just want to be clear her romance/sex scene is accessible if you destroy the grove with her or destroy it in a full blown civil war in the grove. Minthara’s real romance starts if her approval is high enough and during the high approval conversation pick lover for the dialogue choice to start your real romance with Minthara.

Its funny that if you complete Halsin’s sidequest jn act 2 with Minthy in the party, she gets an inspiration from it. So they do interact in a weird way
