This is an excellent show based on an even better book by Neil Gaiman. Every single aspect of this description/recap is wrong. For example: it’s not Jack (his name is Shadow), it’s not Dalton (his name is Wednesday), the guy in the bar is not a dwarf (he’s a leprechaun) and his name is not Bilquis (it’s Mad Sweeney), they’re not playing chess (it’s checkers), that’s not the Grim Reaper (it’s Anubis), and most aggrievedly, it’s not revealed that Wednesday is actually Odin until the first season finale.

It’s an excellent show, but a *terrible* recap. Orlando Jones is excellent as Mr. Anansi. Gillian Anderson is wonderful as Media, even though she’s only in the first season. Crispín Glover is so much fun as Mr. World, as he is in every role over ever had to privilege to watch.

Vulcan is not in the book, but the addition in the show is so perfect. It’s an amazing episode.

I’d highly recommend watching the show. There are three seasons. It’s currently on Amazon Prime, along with another series based on Neil Gaiman’s work: “Good Omens.” It’s also an excellent show with an all-star cast. ❤❤❤
