I wasn't warned about the issue of touching the patch and then my eye, and I have EDS with craniocervical instability. Scared the crap out of myself and a nurse until we got to the bottom of it. Now I warn everyone I know that's getting surgery bc they often don't tell you that about the patch!

Ive had 8 breast cancer surgies in the last 2 years, this patch has worked so well for me, its hard to believe a sticker can be so crucial for immediate recovery confort. Being nauseous is the worst for me!

These patches are truly a lifesaver. Severe sickness is no joke.

Before I had my appendectomy the nurse came in gave me some Tylenol, anti-nausea pill and the anti-nausea patch. You can keep the patch on for 3 days after surgery. This was my first ever big surgery with local anesthesia. Didn't have any side effects. Praise the Lord and thank you Jesus!

Nobody told me about those until i already had like 6 surgeries. I always woke up puking. Bless the Dr who put that on me, not even a wave of nausea afterward. I always ask for them now!

That's pretty funny hearing another healthcare provider mention this. After my craniotomy I was put on that same patch, And after church on sunday, a nurse friend took me to the ER where a stroke alert was called on me. I thought it was odd that none of the doctors in the ER knew about this.

I was given that patch just before my hiatal hernia and gerd surgery. It didn't work. I was still very nauseas and retching after my surgery. The head nurse told me afterwards that the next time I have surgery I need to emphasize just how sick I get from general anesthesia. I had to stay in the hospital longer because my nausea was so incredibly severe!

It can also make elderly people crazy. Be careful of this one😢

Knock on wood, I'm lucky to not get nausea from surgery. When I even hear someone throwing up, I start joining in.

I receive the patches. They warned him to wash my hands and not touch face. They did not say why. Thanks for the heads up.

I have MCAS and have trouble with adhesives. My skin looked like a burnt penny afterwards. We moved it to my shoulders and alternated sides. But I stopped using it when suddenly every time I put one on....all the other places where the patch HAD been placed lit up the red spots as if the skin remembered it. I no longer use it obviously.

My mother used them for problems with pooling saliva from Muscular Dystrophy. It made her senseless. She could not function.

That patch is relief if you wake up with nausea. Grateful for it. I was told not to touch it, but never told me why.

I was so nausea from a 3" knee botched surgery and puking up non stop. My nurse threatened me to place a catheter cuz I hadn't peed. 3 hours she hassled me. I finally told her to give me something for nausea and puking..then I could pee...gee

I had the patch and was warned about touching the patch and then touching my eyes! I have NEVER paid more attention to NOT touching any part of my face or hair as I did, just before my surgery!

I had the patch, and the nurses were telling me not to touch it when they put it on. Thankfully, they warn you. But it worked great!

I suffer from severe motion sickness, which often happens even when I'm driving myself. Tried a scopolamine patch b4 going on a trip, but made me so disoriented and ill that I couldn't possibly use it. I also have become very nauseated following anesthesia of many types. Ondansetron has been very successful controlling nausea for me following anesthesia and following chemotherapy. I use ginger root capsules when I travel, but unfortunately, they only work short-term, and upset my stomach if I take more than one or two doses.

Sniffing an alcohol pad works just as well! It’s an amazing how quickly the nausea goes away! A nurse shared this after my surgery last year! It helped me immensely!

Scope also has a long list of serious reactions. Best to get a patch, put in on Friday night, and make sure someone is with you until you take it off. Cardiac complications and psychotic reactions among them.
