I’m a stay at home dad. My wife is a principal at a local elementary school. Injury has made me what I am. It isn’t natural for a man to stay at home and I deal with depression seeing my wife go to work and provide. In some cases it’s a necessity, but it isn’t our natural role and we should stop pretending otherwise.

Since I was young I wanted a large family and to be a stay at home mom with them. Why? Dont know. I just did.

I met my husband. We dated. He asked me to marry him. And I told him about me being open to how ever many children would come and I would stay at home with them. And that I would adapt to whatever salary he made with no complaints. He accepted.
We had 6 babies in nine years. I stayed home. We had economic ups and downs (as anyone would) and this year we are going to celebrate 40 years of marriage.
It can be done. You need to find the right person and talk, talk, talk before you get married.
Is it worth it? HELL YEAH!

I am a stay-at-home mom of two girls, and I definitely don’t love it all the time. It’s mentality exhausting, and can make me feel really isolated at times. I loved working, but I also understand that the best place for me to be right now is home with my kids.
I am so grateful for my husband and how hard he works to support us. And ultimately I think it’s important to remind stay-at-home parents that they are ABSOLUTELY contributing to the household income. Without me doing what I do, my husband couldn’t do what he does.
Someday my children will both be in school, and my life will open up a bit. Kids don’t stay little forever.
I applaud any family that can meet the needs of their kids, regardless of who stays home with them. The most important thing children need is a stable home with parents that love and respect each other, and who are as present as possible. Stay-at-home moms or stay-at-home dads, you matter so much.

That's why we have video upon video of 50-60 year old women crying and saying they were tricked. They say they were tricked into going after that successful career, and when they obtain that successful, then they can focus on a family. They found themselves kicking that can down the road until it was too late. All of the good men, hell even the not so good men, have all married and they find themselves all alone. Well, they have their cats. And all that's left is a bitter, angry woman who shows a career over starting a family, and they'll never know the joy of having children. The videos are all over YouTube. It's really sad and messed up.

I am a proud trad wife. I worked outside the home before I had children, stayed home to be there for them. And now I am a volunteer.
