The half-size sheets are for simplified record-keeping, when running introductory CBT games for beginners or just running quicker games. The different units on opposite sides of a sheet are probably because intro games tend to be small matches (1 mech per player) to allow new players to familiarize themselves with the record-keeping & the intro-level game rules. When you compare them to the premium full-sized sheets, you'll see they don't track internal damage.

When it comes to maintenance, it's very time-saving rather than hunting up & printing records, and erasing marks post-game to reuse paper print-outs. They also allow for quick set up, but only cover the more common mechs and variants.

Capacitor is advance rules, post clan invasion item, for an extra ton and 5 heat you can make a ppc do 5 extra damage per shot. The m pod is a type of anti personnel one shot weapon. Basically if infantry were adjacent or swarming the mech you activate one and you can do enough damage to wipe out invading platoon. Swarm rules can be hard core in this game

For clan stuff, there are the IIC mechs and C variants in the pack.

I prefer Flechs, which gives me to-hit bonuses and damage location tables, but these look really nice. Don't sleep on the Viper/Black Python. It is a pulse laser build with a targeting computer, so -3 on every to-hit roll that counts.

Just got my Alpha Strike box yesterday, going to buy a battle of Armored combat later this month. Been trying to find a bunch of stuff on Tabletop Simulator as well so I can play with some of my friends. GAme looks quite fun to play on Table top.

My 5 year old loves playing using the half sheets. I'll use any tricks available to get him to play BT with me.

Having a set would be great to get new players

It hurts SO much that I missed the kickstarter and pledging😞 Now I gotta wait for all the new Battletech stuff to come to physical and online stores here in Norway.. I so want a bunch of Fleas! Locusts are awesome 20 tonners but Fleas are great in their own way. They are slower but have more weapons, smaller hitbox and can even have MASC🤪

Man that’s amazing. If I played classic more I’d be way more tempted to do it. I started one of my boys on the print outs and it was…. Well it was an experience. He did a lot better with alpha strike and using the cards we got there.

I prefer AS as a game, but I’d love these for the friends who do prefer classic

As someone who hasn't played much, these are much sexier to a noob.

I do like how they colored those Sheets, and they chose mechs are uncommon and unpopular. Smart move in my opinion. My Biggest issue with the Sheets is they didn't put the Tech Base, Tonnage, and Mech Variant at the Tippy top, because sorting through all your record sheets becomes a nightmare quick. The Record sheets look familiar they did a good job. I kinda hoped they did a little bit better on the Mech Rendering but they look great!

Will these be offered at retail or are they going to do another "sold out" on the CGL store. Not sure why they don't keep these in stock. Maybe they are not as popular as I think they should be.

I hate when they put a completely different unit on the back. It's whatever when they're stapled together, but when they're individual sheets or cards it's kind of just annoying. You can still run both, but it's nice to be able to look at them at the same time.

Theyre nice looking sheets...when considering the mechs the rifleman IIC is probably one of the dirtiest mechs you can get in classic...4 clan large pulse lasers are just nasty and any opposition will hate you if you pick it in a fight :-)

Oh, they're dry erase from the get go? I'd prefer them to be laminated but dry erase is still kinda nice.
35 bucks seem a bit much for my tastes though and I'd rather pick up another mechbox or a couple of IWM models

I'm disappointed that the half sheets have different Mechs on the back rather than different variants of the same Mech.

Why do the small ones not have structure on them? Does anyone know?
