Great choice Evan! I've had my MK7.5 for several years and it's been incredible. I've been tuned since 2k and I'm coming up to 25k miles now with 0 issues. These cars ripp with very little, and whoever wins this is going to be stoked.

Also those paddles should work whenever you touch them if there's a gear available up or down even if you're not in manual mode. If they don't work there's absolutely an issue.

The 2 doors are pretty rare.. and have some serious potential. The MQB platform is definitely better then a lot of cars in the same class. DSG trans is also awesome

I've always said that I'm gonna be driving a manual my whole life and here I am after almost three years of dailying a DSG wouldn't change that for anything else. I absolutely agree that its a best daily transmission under the sun.

Hey evan I have a MK6 GLI (the MK7 is on the MQB platform MK6 is not). I actually did a custom IS38 (GOLF R Turbo) swap in my garage on video! FBO I am at 400 crank! Would love to come on out and help ya get it big turbo swapped for some views and content for your channel! Let me know I am a big VW guy and the swap for your MK7 would be a breeze compared to the custom swaps! Love the car btw!!

Mk7s are a great power plant when tuned and taken care of correctly. my good buddy is making 530whp on a Boss 500 kit and E85. thing rips and has been on that kit for 2 years. amazing cars, and i can’t wait to see what happens with this Mk7 build.

Hey, Evan, if you're looking to upgrade the turbo, I would really recommend the EQT vortex or vortex XL! Also, would recommend EQT tuning, as they are the BEST for the MQB platform.
