2 NYPD Officers and Good Samaritan Praised for Subway Rescue

Dramatic video shows how a man was rescued from the subway tracks seconds before a train pulled into the station. The NYPD released bodycam video of the incident in Harlem. Officials say a man fell onto the tracks and officers had to race to get to him. When they arrived on scene, a witness was tending to the victim on the tracks. The two officers and the good Samaritan lifted the man up and onto the platform. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

The way I see it was that the Samaritan(Sadly only one out of everyone there) was the first to respond, followed by officers. The Samaritan should get 1st recognition.

I still don't understand why they don't put some type of barrier up to keep people from falling into the tracks. It seems like a common sense solution.

Remember kids the subway station can kill in a million different ways from big rats to the 3rd rail to the train that cant stop to being pushed down the stairs. always be careful around trains because they can't stop in time not only will you 100% die but the train engineer will have to live with the fact they ran over another human being. Edit if you think this is not a common issue here is a little fact 2/3 train operators can say they have ran over a person and almost 50% of all train engineers have forms of ptsd.
