I had a friend for almost 10 years, and I broke our friendship because he was influenced by bad company of friends who slander anyone (including me) who they don't like. I almost lost trust of other people due to what my friend did to me. But God reminded me of 1 Corinthians 6:14. That is not just applicable in courtship, but on what circle of friends you shall choose.

Your message Pastor David reminds me of my ex husband who was born again then later turned to darkness and became very worldly. He confessed to me he had a demon attached who would talk to him and hide in the closet. I tried everything as God’s servant to help him come back to God but he told me he chose not to have a relationship with God.
He would hurt me emotionally and was seeing someone else so we divorced and he went to live with his girlfriend he cheated on me with. Once he left, I could feel my house with this brightness and peace I can’t explain.

Thank you Pastor David, I sometimes feel guilty when I to cut some people because they are too negative for my faith. But this seems so basic but we should be reminded often. God bless

This is making me think deeper about a friend I have been best friends with since I was 3. We went to preschool together and went to church together until she moved to a different church. Now I thank God for letting us be friends our whole lives.

Amen, Some friendships are good and you can influence them with God, some they influence you the wrong way. You can turn the influence around but some people you need to cut off.

Amen Pastor, we must always be vigilant especially in our relationships whom we are the closest in this world, we must be wise-we must put the scripture in our heart at all time, we must not let our family, friends, lover's wordly influence overpower our faith and spirit. Yes, yes, yes! Divine connections AND divine disconnections. As a believer, it’s critical that our associations with people do not compromise our Christian walk & values. No person should be worth that! We cannot allow our spiritual course to be altered so much so that we are moving backwards rather than forward.
