PAO surgery is NO JOKE#short#short#Allison_Rain

PAO surgery is NO JOKE. Plus I did labral reconstruction after a failed labral repair. For the PAO, they completely slice/break your hip in 3 places, shift it over, and screw it back in. It was by far the most excruciating pain I’ve ever had and the scariest experience of my life. You are in so much pain while literally not being able to move at all without help. Every single step taken is practically impossible while someone is literally on the ground moving your feet for you. You cannot lift your feet at all between all the pain and the amount of sedation. You can’t even move in bed without help because of the pain. You are maxed out on pain pills yet still screaming out in pain for help because you are in that much pain and you don’t know how to make it go away. Going to the bathroom is nearly impossible. The ptsd from just thinking about it makes your body shiver and the thought about going back to do my other hip is horrifying. You are on the verge of passing out 24/7 from all the pain and all the meds and meanwhile I have POTS/dysautonomia making it worse. I’ve come SO far in 6 months and I DO NOT wanna go back. But the outcome is suppose to be worth it and a life of more chronic pain is worse than 6 months of excruciating pain. So here’s to scheduling my next 2 surgeries next month. I am scared. 💪🏽 Checkout my new hip guide in my bio for help with your hips!

You’re so strong for continuing to do what you love. Sometimes ptsd hits really hard years later and you’re all out of sorts. Buts push through, just believe in yourself and it doesn’t control you. Wishing you health and happiness ❤

Coming from a person with ptsd, I’ve had it for almost three years now and it’s hard I can’t even look at fire but you need to believe in your self and it will get a little easier I hope 🤞
