I don't know if the writers did this on purpose but something I realized is the reason Sheldon got along so well w Penny is because Penny's exactly like his Meemaw.

Just learned that Georgie & Mandy are about to get their own spin-off (even though, thanx to Old Sheldon's voice-over narration, we know that marriage will NOT last). This means they could keep George Sr. around a little longer... then bump him off in that spin-off...

I also hated how she disrespected George for being a worthless father drunk. But in this show. He was an amazing father and husband.
Mary didn't have anything but forced George to stay there.
George had good offers but stayed because of Mary.

They are two separate shows. I like both. I don’t worry about them not lining up bc they really aren’t anything alike. It’s like the multiverse in the MCU. Honestly, lots of people who watch young Sheldon haven’t really ever watched big bang anyway and vice versa.

I also don't think it would be a big deal if Young Sheldon didn't match up with Big Bang story. Young Sheldon is a great show and can stand on it's own. George Sr. already doesn't match what was said about him in Big Bang Theory (at least so far). He is a great father, husband and breadwinner for the family, so why totally change his character??? I say LET GEORGE LIVE!!!

They could explain the discrepancies by having a very old Sheldon discover time travel. He accidentally sends himself back into the past well before Young Sheldon. He does something that inadvertently alters things.

I love young Sheldon and it is great fun. I do want George to be brought back in as the missing brother he never knew. His twin was given up at birth and George never knew it. I can write that for you if you like and not charge you a dime. I just love the show that much. I write books so I could write this.

Looking at BB, Mary said George tried to fight a bobcat for licrios, that shows how twisted her Bible thumping brain 🧠 became, after loosing George, because George was not around to rain her in .
Mary freaked out on the entire family, but George was always the one reeling her back in. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Young Sheldon NEEDS to END get Sheldon to Cal Tech and meet the guy's and END
Buy Johnny, and Jim and the gang reprise there BB roles 1 last time.
