Better is the jointing of the two ends with rubber glue.The glued portions have to be weighted down for a curing period.

To keep the belt running centred on the roller, is not making too much adjustment to either side tensioning screws, because the effects of the adjustment takes a few minutes to show up. The load which the belt carries also affects the belt running to one side.

The rollers have to be slightly ground in the middle or you will never keep them from running to one side or the other! On my first job I ever worked in 1972 we learned this the hard way by cutting down some conveyors and making them have to do with that they had been. Finally someone we called explain to us that they need to be crowned in the metal so we did it with electric tape and they worked perfect! Never forget it!

I would not say good machinery, look at the weld splatter on it, and i hope the weld on the jacking bolt is better than it looks
