Im a drummer myself for 20+ years and I cant say if its like this for most but for me its always easier to learn by ear. But these lessons are actually really really good, the visual aid plus doing the fill over and over is spot on. Awesome work.

Nice video! Haven't seen a lot of tutorials in linear fills. The way you split it up by the hands and feet doesn't make the 32nd notes seem that bad

You should do more lessons like this man! Not just because I'd like to see more, but for your sake too. Your covers are fantastic, but I guarantee you that if you do more amazing lessons like this, you'll see a lot less snobs in the comments section criticising your work. Covers are fun and games, but when you post a great lesson like this, THAT'S what gets more musos interested. I'm not saying stop the covers though, just adjust the ratio. You da man Coop!

Cool fills. I would recommend for anyone who wants to learn these fills, I would highly recommend paradiddles (make sure you don't crush the diddle) to allow for the 4 in the 2-2-4 pattern to be played at tempos above 140. 2nd fill: Learn the rudiment Drag Tap, close to the herta idea here. Also, learn how to cleanly play doubles because at slower tempos, you could easily sweep/scrape (depending on your terminology wanted) the herta (making sure not to crush the diddle). 3rd Fill: Need a good base drum pedal, a slower response pedal is going to inhibit how fast you can alternate between the hand and feet. Additionally, that fill is where learning it slow is key to build up strength to do it. Great stuff.

I'm glad that Cooper got away from his overly muffled drums. It sounds so much better now.
