@RedwoodOutdoors - I use the WB Mambajamba SpinnUL for winter, used the OES Deluxe Spinn this summer and have used the sil superfly last Fall. Sil is pretty much silent. SpinnUL NOISEY when setting up or taking down but once broken in and staked out its fine. Cuben is not so noisey setting up. Definitely less noisey than the Spinn. I used the OES Spinn which is white and somewhat transparent and the sun didnt bother me. I'm up in the early morning anyway

@sweetypie000 - depends on how you hang. I prefer doors so I go with my mamajamba tarp in the winter. Other than that I use this as a 3 season tarp.

@RedwoodOutdoors - I believe the Hexamid was specifically designed for tarp tenting as it seems a hiking pole is needed in the configuration. Not sure it is condusive to hammock camping. I understand why you are looking at that design as you want something that can go to the ground as well for the PCT correct?

@RedwoodOutdoors - This tarp is 8.5 feet wide so you will have 4 feet coverage on either side. I have it pitched tight in the video to simulate inclement weather set up. No time to film right now as I'm super busy with work. Going on a 3 day, 2 night trek in 3 weeks will probably have this tarp pitched in porch mode weather permitting. Will have video of the trip and reviews of my new UL set up and gear then.

@RaulPerez1 Yeah. For me though, I use a bridge hammock so it's a couple inches wider. How would this one that you have work for a hammock that is a bit wider? Do you have any video of this little guy setup in a non A-Frame style?

Hey, so you use to use the WB tarp right? If so, what kind of noise difference does this thing make? I have read these CF tarps can be a bit nosier than the Silnylon that WB uses. At nearly ten ounces lighter than the WBSF it makes for a very serious consideration. Although, it looks like it's going to blind you the moment the sun comes up...
