Interest in Military Watches and their values have soared in value in recent years.
Here’s a Jaeger-Le-Coultre RAF Navigators watch and it’s not surprisingly, very valuable!

Jonathan Scatchard from Vintage Watches (and me David Harper) will show you this very special watch close up, give you its history, tell you what to look out for and Jonathan will value it...see how close you can get to the watches true value?

You might be shocked and you might want to hunt around at home in those old drawers, as antique military watches like this are often described as ‘drawer finds’ They’re the kind of watches people often think are worthless and forget about after putting them away in drawers! But, in fact, they can be worth small fortunes!

The watch pictured appears to have been polished, the original finish was matte: non-reflective. The RAAF issue of the same watch had a modification to the crystal, specified to be flat instead of domed as per the UK issue. These watches were always classed A (accountable) and were never given to a serviceman on retirement, were always withdrawn and down classed if still useful, otherwise sent to disposals auctions.

Odd isn’t it... The things that look the least valuable, are often the most valuable!

Another fascinating episode David, I have my grandfather's Canadian pilots watch circa 1942. Not sure of the make as it was damaged when he crash landed in France in 1944.

I'm going to say, £12k, I know he's already mentioned £1k but I'm presuming that's for the non non magnatisable watches 🤔
