I think the ending is obvious. Here's why:

1. Luffy made a promise to re-visit various people once he becomes king of the pirates (Shirahosi, Vivi, Laboon, etc.)
2. In the Zou arc, we learn that the crew have already passed Laugh Tale, but you need to locate all the road poneglyphs to decipher where Laugh Tale is.
3. It fits all of Oda's hints so far ("the final arc involves the past, " "the whole world is turned upside down")

Conclusion: The final arc will be a resolution, where Luffy returns to the beginning and sails towards Laugh Tale. On the way, he honors his promises to old friends, and we learn the truth about the void century.

Addendum 1: I doubt the story will end until the crew's dreams are fulfilled (best swordsman, all blue, map of the world, etc.)

Addendum 2: There is subtle foreshadowing throughout the series that suggests Luffy will allow himself to be executed when he is near death, similar to Roger before him.

1. Luffy has already lost a sizeable amount of his lifespan from uncontrolled use of gear 2 and 3, and Ivankov's treatment before the marineford arc.
2. This will be a full circle moment where Luffy realizes the cost of his journey and how it paralells the journey of his predecessor, Gol D. Roger.

TLDR: Luffy will return to the beginning and find Laugh Tale, where he becomes king of the pirates. Along the way, he will reconcile with his old friends. He will be executed like Roger when his short remaining lifespan is over.

ok heres an explanation to show HOW close we are (if im late then sad but if anyone else sees this heres actually how close we are and no one piece isnt ending in 2032 since we got the map wrong for the one piece) now rn we are on elbaf and what the 3 locations on the map were shown to be were this so we went back to go to egg head the we skipped the island in the middle thats still unknown and went over that to elbaf and we most likely wil lgo to laugh tale which is the last so actually we have about 1 - 2 arcs left of one piece
