Oats are life :D can do so many things from them - porridge, pancakes, biscuits etc...

Love your videos! We ALWAYS have quinoa on hand and brown rice. :) Also.... apple cider vinegar, spinach, hummus, fresh cut veggies (carrots, celery, radishes, etc) and mixed salad greens, almond butter, veggie broth and a lot of the items you mention here. We aren't 100% vegan, but we tend to eat mostly the whole food, plant based diet.

My pantry staple for sure is OATS. Oats are huge in my life.

Also chickpea flour (pancakes/pizza base and bargees), oat & corn flour, bakers yeast, spelt & rye flour for breadmaking (wheat intolerant). Plus non-wheat crispbreads and oatcakes for when I don't feel like baking. Wholegrain spelt & buckwheat pasta. Also lentil, chickpea and edamame pastas for a protein boost. Not forgetting plant based protein powders for morning/evening smoothies.

Ground flax seeds to put in everything, Oatmeal for breakfast and to make oat milk, and barley for soups and to add variety to rice dishes. Also dried mushrooms are super handy for anything savory.

Olives, sundries tomatoes, jars of roasted peppers. Keep your jars when you’re done with them and you can start using them to store your seeds, nuts etc in. Nutri Bullet or equivalent is a god-send. Tupperware so you can batch cook and freeze stuff. Ice cube trays so you can freeze stock, herbs, pesto and cheese sauces you make. Stick blender for making soups. If you’re worried about buying things like flax, chia or nutritional yeast which you haven’t tried before, see if it’s something any of your friends use and ask them for some to try. They can then suggest different ways they like to use them.

I definitely would add peanut butter, honey, different flours, rices, TVP, and some desert items. How to make vegan snack mixes for hunger pangs would be useful. Basic produce to have on hand is valuable too.

Onions and fresh garlic. Ideal for adding some flavours to dishes.

Vegetarian for 1.5 years. Having begun this January 1st (yesterday), I am now a proud Vegan! Now, I didn't know that, or just didn't remember, January was Veganuary. Just a happy coincidence it does.

Keep up the good work, Guys! Note: I've been salivating over your cookbooks. Expect Amazon to get an order from me shortly.

We always have greens in our frig--kale, spinach, lettuce, etc. We also keep potatoes(white, yellow, sweet potatoes, etc.), oats, and rice in our bulk storage. We also keep raw nuts like almonds or cashews on hand; we use them to make nut butter, milks, add to the top of stir-fry's, make a cheese sauce or cream cheese, or as a quick snack. And don't forget the dates and banana's--as a natural sweetener when baking or making banana nice cream. Awesome video guys and thanks for all the wonderful videos this past year. Hope ya have a Happy New Year!!!! :):):)

17 years is absolutely awesome! I can't wait to say that I've been vegan for that long.
June will be 6 years for me, only still in the single digits.

Vegetable Boullion is one of my favourite store cupboard ingredients. Great video guys, brown rice flour as I am staying away from wheat, coconut oil, olive oil ginger powder, garlic powder, garam masala is great at the end of making a vegetable curry.

Love what you’ve identified on this video which most are always on hand in my kitchen. A few other items: medjool dates; cacao nibs; hemp seeds; Ripple plant-based milk or hemp milk; teff and millet grains; date syrup and date sugar.

Great idea! Some of the foods I always have to hand are hummus, potatoes, tortilla wraps, salad, rice, lentils and siracha sauce! Also, cashew and almond milk are the best. Good luck to all the new vegans!
