The Frightnrs sound is based in the Jamaican Rock Steady tradition, their genuine rub a dub vibes and vintage feel get polished into beautiful roughness by longtime NY soundman Victor “Ticklah” Axelrod. Such a beautiful song. Heard David Rodigan play this on Radio 2 the other night and had to look it up. I genuinely thought this was from the early '80s when I first heard it. Absolutely amazing.

Unfortunately the lead singer, Dan Klein has passed away, he was diagnosed with ALS late last year... I see nobody is commenting about this so I think all who like the band should know.
