The king reading a poem of the goth father! Just awesome!

Thanks for the experience you gave me with American Gods, a true masterpiece!

Oh, and i cant forget:

Shadow - Hey Huginn or Munnin, Say nevermore!
Fuck you said the raven.

Shadow asking Huginn/Muninn to say 'Nevermore' was absoltely perfect and fitting for American Gods. People around me must've thought I was crazy with how hard I laughed at that passage.

This is my favorite reading on youtube because it actually sounds like someone in a study experiencing what is happening and going through the emotions of the poem, and not someone reading a sad poem over macabre music (not that anything's wrong with macabre music).

I have always enjoyed hearing this poem by Vincent Price, but when it comes to the great author, Neil Gaiman, I would literally listen to him read the telephone directory. Thank you sir for another wonderful recitation

Young Teen here!
I discovered this poem with the recent release of "The Hunger Games—Sunrise On The Reaping, " which mentions this poem multiple times throughout the book.
And recited at the end, and wow. Re-reading those final pages while having the poem being read out loud is just magic.

You will not be forgotten, Lenore Dove Baird!

This is amazing. Bing recommended this to me, when I asked it if it was possible to dream of a future technology that would allow as to hear Poe himself reciting this poem. Bing said it's possible to speculate of such a thing and told that in the meantime I could enjoy Neil Gaiman's rendition of it. I think Bing guessed correctly that this would be the closer to Poe's reading. This was exactly what I was looking for. If I had a time machine, one of the things I'd be sure to do would be to go to one of Edgar Allen Poe's readings of The Raven.
