Ipswich History Walk 2 │Executions and locations
In the second of my walking tours of Ipswich, I’ll not only look at more of the town’s heritage but the town’s execution sites. People were burnt at the stake during the 16th century and hanged in the old gaol. The last public hanging in the country of Suffolk took place in Ipswich back in 1862 when John Ducker was hanged for murder! You won’t believe just so much history there is in Ipswich.
