Conscription 1918: fighting for citizenship

Thia talk was delivered at the 100th anniversary of the Anti-Conscription Conference in The Round Room at The Mansion House. Ciarán Wallace is Deputy Director of Beyond 2022: Ireland's Virtual Record Treasury, a project aiming to digitally recreate the collections and premises of the Public Record Office of Ireland destroyed in the Civil War. He currently teaches on Trinity College Dublin's online history course "Irish Lives in War and Revolution". His recent publications include "Civil Society In Search Of A State: Dublin 1898-1922" in Urban History (2017) and "Grave Matters: Death and Dying in Dublin, co-edited with Lisa-Marie Griffin.
