As an auto enthusiast and a GM fan. I appreciate everything automotive from all manufacturers. I made a special road trip to the Ren Center and while its hard to say and I hope GM takes this constructively, I was unimpressed. The displays were nice. The gift shop was nice but i felt meh after visiting. This is GM HQ and it should have blown me away or left me impressed. Its missing something.

Upon leaving other manufactures HQ or museums more specifically BMW Welt you leave very impressed. I left those places having learned about the brand, the history the various displays are something to marvel at. I appreciate BMW and while I am not a BMW fan, I left BMW Welt feeling wow I want one! Ford Rouge plant is another one. I left impressed and saying to myself wow i kinda want a Ford now.

Again I am a GM fan and owner but the Ren Center needs that wow factor for visitors. As a large manufacturer GM does have a deep history in innovation etc. And this needs to be proudly displayed and showcased !

Is this the site with all the broken escalators that I have read on GM Yammers?

Was the main building intentionally designed to look like a car exhaust pipe, since it's a car company? Similar to how the Tower Records building in LA was designed to look like a stack of records?

Here's a question: how is it a company that hasn't innovated in over 75 years still around? Better yet, how is it that it can continue to survive on life support while still manufacturing fred flintstone technology?

Chevrolet Camaro, chevelle, corvette cars are pretty, but there aren't too many cars. The design of the car hasn't changed, but that doesn't mean that there aren't many different types of cars. I don't understand why I didn't make a pretty car and just stopped by the times. If you look at the Camaro or Chevelle in the 1970s, you can show your own pretty design, whether it's a hypercar, a sports car, a angular sedan, or a classic car. I always have the same impala and malibu As it is sold, the brand is so increasingly ranked lower than other brands. It would be nice to design something like an old 1960s Buick just to make it as a classic car and have only features these days. It won't be difficult to create a design I don't understand why they sell only the same kind of car all the time.

Originally it started off as a hotel. So most the work was already done on the infrastructure. Not saying this as good or bad, just a fa ct. Not here to take sides on the big 3.
