Over 100 arrested on N1 in Bloemfontein

More than 100 people have been arrested on the N-1 stretch in Bloemfontein during the festive road safety campaign.

They include those who failed to produce proper documents while others were illegal immigrants.
Since the beginning of the festive season, more than 23 road fatalities have been reported in the province.

The Road Safety Campaign was led by Premier Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae, accompanied by other executive members to intensify law enforcement.

That Zimbabwean lady is correct she knows her rights. You can apply for a new passport whilst you're in SA if you lost it and you can also go back to Zimbabwe without a passport and pay R200 fine at the border post. That officer is not an immigration officer or she lakes knowledge.
